Book & Movie Review: The Fault In Our Stars, By John Green

 Book:

I have already mentioned my love for John Green and why I love him, but this book breaks one of his usual quirks. Its from a girls point of view.Yet, oddly, for a boy he writes from a girls point of view just as well.

My fave character, weirdly, is their friend Issac. I feel he is very underarted. His character sparks the 'okay? Okay.' idea. He also has quiet a lot of development in this book.

Movie:

I was a lucky Fan who went to one of the Fan Previews, i came home with a poster, a cute photo pass and make-up running down my face.

I was going in expecting it to be quite good, as John himself had a big part in its making, and that, as i had read the book, i wouldnt cry to much. I was wrong on one of these.

The movie is great, not brilliant, but great. It is also soul crushingly sad, just as it should be.

If you haven't read the book, don't read before you watch the film.

(SPOILER: The way you fall in love with Gus and lose him in the book is made one-thousand times worse with the movie. It is like watching him Die fora second time after having him come back to you.)

Its a great movie, soft and sweet.... but, and there is always a but, there are important parts missing.

Some cuts miss out the swing scene.
"Lonely, Vaguely Pedophilic Swing Set Seeks The Butts of Children" - Hazel Grace Lancaster, The Fault In Our Stars.

They also cut out most of the parts after one of there deaths, witch i think takes away the impact of the point.

There is life after death, other people live to tell your story and well, they never really forget how amazing you are!

The Movie is good, but MUST be seen before the book, if you have already read it YOU WILL CRY... Sorry.
