Book & Movie Review: The Fault In Our Stars, By John Green

 Book:

I have already mentioned my love for John Green and why I love him, but this book breaks one of his usual quirks. Its from a girls point of view.Yet, oddly, for a boy he writes from a girls point of view just as well.

My fave character, weirdly, is their friend Issac. I feel he is very underarted. His character sparks the 'okay? Okay.' idea. He also has quiet a lot of development in this book.

Movie:

I was a lucky Fan who went to one of the Fan Previews, i came home with a poster, a cute photo pass and make-up running down my face.

I was going in expecting it to be quite good, as John himself had a big part in its making, and that, as i had read the book, i wouldnt cry to much. I was wrong on one of these.

The movie is great, not brilliant, but great. It is also soul crushingly sad, just as it should be.

If you haven't read the book, don't read before you watch the film.

(SPOILER: The way you fall in love with Gus and lose him in the book is made one-thousand times worse with the movie. It is like watching him Die fora second time after having him come back to you.)

Its a great movie, soft and sweet.... but, and there is always a but, there are important parts missing.

Some cuts miss out the swing scene.
"Lonely, Vaguely Pedophilic Swing Set Seeks The Butts of Children" - Hazel Grace Lancaster, The Fault In Our Stars.

They also cut out most of the parts after one of there deaths, witch i think takes away the impact of the point.

There is life after death, other people live to tell your story and well, they never really forget how amazing you are!

The Movie is good, but MUST be seen before the book, if you have already read it YOU WILL CRY... Sorry.

Book Review: Paper Towns by John Green

I am a John Green freak. I know that saying that probably puts me in the 'hipster-y fan-girl' category.

This is not what i am. This isn't why i like these books. Not because they're cliche, teen books, easy to quote or because they're popular.

I like them, BECAUSE THEY ARE SMART. Most books for teens are dumb-ed down. Things like that piss me off. I may be a teen but i am anything but stupid, especially when it comes to language. He uses words like 'Cacophony' and he shows real life situations, not 'omg, i don't have a date for prom'.

Most of his characters are normally men looking at women, this situation is no diffrent. We have a common boy, who loves a smart, crazy and amazing girl. She is said to be pretty and such, but also smart and unique.

He gives us qoutes, bands, poems and general wonder in all his books.

This one uses such things to show a bigger meaning, to give us an all round view of the wonderful female character.

Its a book about Love and yest its not, its a book about adventure but its not, its a book about life choices and our paths.

It's amazing.

This is a book for teens of all genders and backgrounds and , its not only a book, a bible for the 'teen life crisis' that some of us go through (me).

Its just..... Read it!!

“That's always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people want to be around someone because they're pretty. It's like picking your breakfast cereals based on color instead of taste.”

LUSH'S Tea Tree Water, Review.

This product had been recommended to me through both friends and make-up bloggers alike.  I was slightly skeptical as the name sound very 'boho friendly'. People often use the all natural tag on products to sell things that aren't really worth it. I was very wrong.

I have only been using this product for about a week or so and i started using it in the middle of a massive breakout. It fixed it amazingly quick. I didn't only help calm my skin but also reduced some of the redness.

Also, i have very sensitive skin and often find that tea-tree makes my skin slightly itchy but i didn't find that with this product.  It is slightly costly but i think ts really worth it.

I would give it a 9 out of 10. (just because of the price)

Thanks for reading guys, have a lovely day.

It's a Haul 💕

I was in Edinburgh on Friday and I happened to go into a few fun shops.

I have fallen in love with top-man (yes it's guys clothing. I have always preferred male clothing as it comes in black more often, it's longer, comfy and often just more punk.  whoop.)

I got some ear-rings

A beanie
A top

A necklace

A bracelet set

And a ring.

I then went into Evans and got a cute belt !

I then went into lush (my guilty pleasure) and got some bits and bobs.

A bubblegum lip scrub (witch I love more then life, it's so good I coul eat it!!)

A charity £1 tub of body/hand lotion. (It's a pound and it all goes to charity!! )

 (It feels and smells great!!)

I finally got a tea-tree water face spray (since my skin is breaking out)

I also got a brioche from a stall in the st James shopping center.

I hope you enjoyed this, and i will hopefully do reviews of some of these soon.

I love you guys, have a great day XX
